Thank you for visiting my website! I consider writing my first love and count it among my most constant companions. My creative writing includes poetry, songs, creative nonfiction and visual essays. I spent more than 20 years working in the public, nonprofit and private sectors, including land use planning, marketing, and land conservation administration, and regardless of my official title, my favorite role in each position was that of de facto editor for my coworkers. While working I also took on freelance writing and editing assignments on the side and spent time on personal writing projects, one of which was chosen as a Runner Up in the Women on Writing Summer 2025 Creative Nonfiction essay contest.
In addition to writing I spend time baking, hiking, taking photographs, gardening, thrifting, and restoring the occasional piece of old furniture. I live in a small(ish) town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada where my husband and I share our 1940s home with three rescue dogs.
